Trine promotes 3 as online learning grows | Heralrepublican

ANGOLA – Trine University has promoted three staff members and restructured its Graduate and Professional College, which houses TrineOnline, to accommodate the growth of online courses and programs.

Keirsten Eberts, assistant vice president and dean of academics for TrineOnline, said the university has seen tremendous growth in online learning on several fronts. In addition to adult learners and graduate students who were already part of TrineOnline, this includes students from the Angola campus and students from other universities who are taking courses online, dual-enrollment students online, and international learners.

“Trine University could welcome nearly 5,000 online students this fall, and this new structure will allow us to continue to grow efficiently,” said Eberts. “Everyone at TrineOnline has worked hard as our programs and enrollment have expanded, and these new positions will give our team the support they need.”

Brittni Heiden has been promoted to Executive Director of Academic Operations for TrineOnline. In her new role, she will assist the Associate Vice-Rector and Dean of Academics on strategic initiatives that lead to the continued growth of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies, and oversee the Senior Academic Director and Director of Guidance and student success.

Heiden earned her Master of Science in Leadership at Trine and has worked for the university since 2014, most recently serving as graduate school director.

Joshua Pranger has been promoted to Senior Academic Director. In this role, he will oversee the six Academic Directors of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies, who will serve both graduate and undergraduate students.

Anuja Shukla has been promoted to Director of Student Advising and Success, where her responsibilities will include student retention and success for all TrineOnline students. She will oversee TrineOnline’s three full-time and 14 part-time faculty advisors.
