Study Outfit Ideas Online »Rebel

Due to the pandemic, all of our courses have switched to online study. Yasmin Evans takes a look at some outfits you should wear around the house to study.

Online study? Can we wear our pajamas to class and no one sees us? Perfect!

As great as it sounds, not getting ready for the day, unfortunately, has proven to have an impact on our motivation. Making sure I wake up, take a shower, and put on an outfit has been a big part of my focus and attention to my online classes.

Here are some quick outfit ideas to help keep you motivated while looking presentable enough that if you find yourself in a surprise meeting room, you won’t be too embarrassed to put your camera on.

First of all, anything oversized is a must when it comes to home study; you don’t want to wear skinny jeans to sit at a desk during a 2 hour conference! Personally, I love cycling shorts paired with a sports top and a big oversized hoodie (£ 7 at Primark). Looks like I’ve been exercising while secretly the gyms aren’t even open and I’ve been sitting at home eating crisps for a month. Winner.

Now it’s winter. Although the shorts look nice, we are students and the heat is on. Dear! Put on those diapers! Grab a turtleneck, any hoodie, and a pair of joggers and it looks like you’ve made an effort. The turtleneck only adds an extra layer to the outfit and gives you a more polished look, plus it’s super warm!

It’s no secret that jeans aren’t the most comfortable clothes, but putting on a good pair of jeans always makes me feel great. So if the day comes when you are feeling a bit depressed and just want to dress a bit more; mom jeans are a must. This style means they are not tight at all and look great with any hoodie or top and you have a complete outfit. Mine was £ 20 from Bershka on ASOS. Primark is also making theirs for around £ 13.

In addition to all these pretty outfits to wear for your online classes, remember: sometimes you just need a day of self-care. Wearing your pajamas to class just because you don’t have the energy to prepare, that’s good! Never be ashamed to take the time to take care of yourself. Don’t feel like you have to have a presentable outfit for your everyday zoom class. Some days I just wear a fluffy pajama top and pants because people only see the size! Tips for everyday life. If I’m ever in this mood, I just make sure to put on some new pajamas (preferably matching so that I feel a tiny a little better in my skin). These small changes can make all the difference.

So if you find home study hard work, try putting on a nice outfit and go crash your classes!
