Online Study Fair Offers Study and Job Opportunities in Japan

The first online study fair in which more than 56 Japanese universities participated was launched in Cambodia and some ASEAN countries with the aim of providing study and employment opportunities in Japan.

The show started on January 17 and is scheduled to end on February 18. It aims to encourage people from ASEAN to pursue their studies in Japan.

Okayama University in Japan hosted the event.

Eng Kanika, education and cultural exchange coordinator for the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center, said the fair aims to promote and share information about studying, scholarships and job opportunities in Japan.

She said the show was held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“For Myanmar, we held six times locally and twice online. For Cambodia and Laos, we held once online,” she said, noting that this was Okayama University’s first online fair.

“At the fair, we present information about studying in Japan, job opportunities and participating institutions and schools on the special website,” she said, noting that 56 educational institutions and schools in across Japan participate in the show.

She added that the fair offers online consultation, scholarship information and more information for those who wish to study in Japan.
