Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan consider launching e-learning web portal

AKIPRESS.COM – Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Nurlan Omurov met with Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Baghdat Musin on the sidelines of the Forum on Governance of the Internet in Central Asia on September 28 in Bishkek.

They shared their experience in organizing the online process during the pandemic, the shift from educational institutions to distance learning.

They also mentioned the difficulties of registering at the university, the organization of final exams in schools, the work of teachers.

The agreement was reached to consider the possible creation of a common Internet portal on e-learning, where information technology and human resources in the Central Asian region will be consolidated. In particular, Central Asian university professors could upload their courses, books and other learning materials to this website and together develop content for engineering sciences.

The parties agreed to support IT initiatives in the education sector and digital development in Central Asia as a whole.
